Frequently asked questions

Is the app free?

Yes. Prayer times, the athan, the next-prayer card, the Hijri date, the daily verse and hadith, the Names of Allah and iqamah times are free for ever. Each TV gets a 7-day free trial of everything else. To keep the extras, unlock once on our website.

What does the unlock add?

The Quran audio player (reading the Quran on screen stays free), all athan readers chosen per prayer, reminders before each prayer, photo backgrounds, all Arabic fonts, the dhikr screen saver and the scholar quotes. See Pricing.

How many TVs does one unlock cover?

One license covers up to 3 TVs in one home. For more TVs, buy another license.

Do all my TVs show the same verse at the same time?

No. Each TV runs on its own and picks its own verse and hadith, so two TVs can show different ones. Prayer times match when the TVs use the same city and calculation method.

Can a mosque or a school use it?

Yes, with a license for every screen: enough licenses to cover each screen, at up to 3 TVs per license. The app has no special features for mosques. See the Terms of Service.

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account the free features work on every TV. An account is needed only to unlock the extras.

Why are the times different from my mosque?

Prayer times are calculated from your place and the calculation method, and may differ from your local mosque. Open Settings and choose the method and the Asr setting your mosque uses. If your mosque prays at set times, add them as iqamah times. See the Disclaimers.

Does the app give religious rulings?

No. The app shows prayer times, the athan, and verses and hadith with translations from public sources. For questions of practice, fasting or moon sighting, please ask your local mosque or a scholar you trust.

The Hijri date is one day off.

The Hijri date is calculated and can differ from local moon sighting. In Settings you can move it by a day or two.

The athan did not play.

The athan plays while the app is open on the TV. Check the TV’s volume, and in Settings, Athan, that the athan is ticked for that prayer. The app never plays the athan on times it is not sure of.

What happens without the internet?

The app keeps showing times it saved earlier, for up to 7 days, and says they are old. After that it shows “–:–” with a message instead of guessing.

How do I link a TV, or remove an old one?

On the TV open Settings, then Account, and scan the code with your phone. To remove a TV, sign in at account.goodwill-media.com/ and press Remove next to it.

How do I get a refund?

Within 7 days of paying, sign in on the account site, open your account page and press Request refund. There is one self-service refund per household. Otherwise email support@goodwill-media.com. See the Refund Policy.

Which languages are there?

English, Arabic, Turkish, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Pashto, Dari, Spanish, Somali and Indonesian. All but English are early versions and say “(beta)”. Corrections are welcome through Feedback.

Does the app track me or show ads?

No ads and no tracking. Your settings stay on the TV. Read the Privacy Policy.
